Exhibit - 空 Kū
Kū' is a dance short that explores contact improvisation and urban alienation, created and performed by Kana Kobayashi and Jes Kalled, and directed by Kaoru Imafuku.
The title is drawn from the Buddhist concept of 'emptiness', referring to an unfixed yet interdependent state of being. Through movement, Kalled and Kobayashi respond to the freedoms of Tokyo, as well as its overcrowding, constrictions, and unspoken demands, searching for the kinaesthetic relationship between the body and its urban surroundings.
